Registration for the District’s Summer Programs 2024 has begun! This year, the academic program for elementary students, Summer Achieve, will take place at 16 sites across the city (Dr. E. Alma Flagg, Elliott Street, First Avenue, McKinley, Park Elementary, Rafael Hernandez, Belmont Runyon, George Washington Carver, Louise A. Spencer, Mount Vernon, Speedway Avenue, Ann Street, Camden Street, Oliver Street, South Street, Hawkins Street). This program, which includes mandatory summer school, will operate daily from 8:30am to 1:00pm beginning on Thursday, June 27th and ending on Friday, August 2nd. Additionally, NBOE is excited to announce the launch of a new elementary enrichment program, Summer Quest, which will operate from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at the same 16 sites. Summer Quest will be staffed by District teachers with courses and support provided by community based organizations.
In addition to the Bridge Program for rising 9th graders, high school students will have the opportunity to expand and accelerate their learning and college/career exploration through a variety of enrichment programs this summer. High school programs will operate daily from 8:30am to 1:30pm beginning July 1st and ending on August 2nd.
