Yet, the University High School Girls' Basketball Team has once again proven their unparalleled prowess on the court by clinching their fifth consecutive Group 1 title. With this latest triumph, the school's tally of Group 1 titles now stands at an impressive eight, placing them sixth on the NJSIAA all-time list. Head Coach Amiri Baraka, Jr. has been at the helm for six of those titles. Kudos should also go to the Arts High School Boys’ Basketball team as well where in a triumphant display of athleticism and determination, clinched their first-ever state sectional title, sending waves of pride and excitement throughout the school and the community.
