Dear East Side Family,

Please let me take this time to thank everyone for their hard work, perseverance and dedication during the 2019-2020 school year. Certainly ,it wasn't the school year we all expected but we made it happen. Again, let me express my congratulations to the Class of 2020 and their families - I am very proud of all your accomplishments and look forward to future success.  Always remember Once An East Sider Always An East Sider.

Additionally, we are very excited to welcome the Class of 2024. Your decision to come to East Side High School was without exception the right choice for your future. We have something for everyone at East Side High School and it is my expectation that students get involved in your school and make yourself better because of this participation.

My vision for East Side High School is that of becoming a distinguished school and that starts with you. I demand  that students come to school everyday for 100% attendance as well as become scholars in the classroom and legends outside the classroom. We have so many good people here to support you on your journey but parents and students I need your commitment that school comes first- because I want the best for every student -every day. If not you then who to make this happen?

Dear East Side High School Class of 2020, I am deeply upset that I share this news with you regarding your May 15th prom at the Westmount Country Club.  However, due to the announcement today (April 16th), by New Jersey Governor Murphy and his decision to extend school closing until May 15th, it is my decision on behalf of the safety of all East Side seniors and staff; that the 2020 prom scheduled for May 15th, will be canceled.  This is a very difficult decision for me  but ultimately the only  sensible and  rational decision to be made considering the Covid 19 crisis.
