Not a bad day of school when you get a visit from the Russ Tyler and the Stanley Cup.
Actor Kenan Thompson -- who played Russ Tyler in The Mighty Ducks movie series -- recently visited East Side High School in Newark, NJ to talk to student-athletes on the boys and girls hockey teams
After Thompson spoke with the students, Howie Borrow, one of the Keepers of the Cup, brought out the coveted trophy.
"Howie brought the Cup to show you guys it's attainable," Thompson said to the students in a video posted on social media by the league. "If you dream it and pursue it, you never know. Your name can be etched on this Cup as well."
Thompson -- who hosted the NHL Awards in 2019 and 2022 -- then took photos with the students and even signed a Russ Tyler jersey.
And who knows, maybe one of these student-athletes will bring back Tyler's unstoppable Knucklepuck shot.
