Parent Organization
National education studies have documented that regardless of the economic, ethnic, or cultural background of the family, parent involvement in a child’s education is a major factor in determining success in school. Parent involvement also contributes to other positive outcomes, such as better school attendance, improved homework completion rates, decreased violence and substance abuse, and higher graduation rates. Recognizing that parents are a child’s first teacher, we encourage you to join us by participating in this most important process of educating our youngsters to meet the challenges of the new millennium. We encourage you to attend the open house programs and scheduled parent awareness workshops throughout the school year. You are also invited to become an active member of the ptso. Parent-teacher-student organization (PTSO).
Parents are encouraged to support high school students through their involvement and support of the school’s parent organization (PTSO). If you would like to become an active member in our school's PTSO please fill out this Google form or call Ms. Carla Ruivo our Community Engagement Specialist at 973-465-4958 for further information.
