As an East Side Alumni and Newark resident Ms. Crespo wants to be a role model to students that have similar stories to what she has experienced as a student. She want her students to be able to find their purpose and to achieve all of their academic and personal goals. Ms. Crespo wants all students to be prepared for life once they graduate and personally believes its her goal to make sure that it gets done. She believes East Side is her home and wants to make sure her guidance shines through the success of her students.Ms. Crespo also Coaches Girls Soccer and Girls Ice Hockey at East Side.
On her own time she enjoys Exploring and going on adventures such as camping, hiking, snowboarding, fishing, skating, and traveling!

Ms. Harris enjoys the students at East Side and working with her coworkers. Her hobbies are going out to eat and going to the movies. she spends her weekends hanging out with her friends. Ms. Harris ran track in high school and in college. She was an All-American track runner and qualified to go to the Olympic Trials. She made the Junior National team and traveled to Romania, Greece, and Germany.

Ms. Lanza loves working with my coworkers and the diverse population of students. She enjoys spending time with her sons, Sonny and Enzo. Ms. Lanza played collegiate softball at Kean University where she once held the homerun record. She coached high school soccer, basketball, and softball for the past 15 years at various schools, but has taken a break due to the birth of her youngest son.

As an alumni of East Side High School, class of 2002, Mr. Marques couldn't imagine working anywhere else. His hobbies include anything sports related or just spending time with his wife and two kids. Mr. Marques coaches football, tennis, and wrestling. He was named 2022 Region 4 Assistant Coach of the Year, the first in Newark history.

Mr. Ojeda loves working at East Side because he loves being part of this community. He believes to work in one of the best departments in the building and feels truly lucky to work with amazing coworkers. Also, the diverse population of students has had a great impact on him. He states that he has learned so much about different cultures and it's helped mold him into a well rounded teacher.
"My journey at East Side started with student teaching back in 2018. I was then hired and began my first official year teaching in 2019. In the building, I have the privilege of being part of extracurricular activities at East Side. I run the weight room after school, serve as a credit mastery teacher, and I am one of the boys volleyball coaches. I am an advisor to Teen Links and the Teen High Schools’ Health Initiative. My second passion is fitness, therefore I work in Montclair as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. I have a true passion for helping people reach their fullest potential. I believe in always making someone feel they can accomplish anything. My goal is to be the best teacher I can be every time I walk into school.

Mr. Pereira enjoys playing soccer, watching sports, and salt water fishing. He is the nj.com Essex County Coach of the Year for 2014 and 2022; Soccer Coaches Association of New Jersey North II Coach of the Year 2016; and Boys Soccer Essex County Champion 2016.
