Digital Media, Broadcast Journalism, Video Production, & Filmmaking are all exciting areas that give students the opportunity to express themselves creatively using technology!

 

This department provides motivated students with practical experience in media production. The intensive hands-on sequence of courses explore camera operation, script writing, lighting, audio production, video editing and the effects of television on viewers. Students are provided with all of the basic skills necessary to produce a live daily news program, special video features, public service announcements, short films, and commercials. These courses also equip students with the skills necessary to function in a technology and media-centered society.

 

Students are required to spend time outside of the classroom to videotape projects, work in the communication center, and complete group work.
