West Side High School Business & Finance Academy
PATHWAY DESCRIPTION
- In the School of Entrepreneurship, students will gain exposure to a wide array of academic options that include college preparatory, honors, and concurrent college/high school classes.
- This program prepares students for post-secondary education and/or entry-level careers in business. In addition, West Side offers an extensive range of extracurricular opportunities such as athletics, clubs, competitions, and organizations that center on the career theme.
- By graduation, students will have earned their high school diploma, along with experience and certifications prized by colleges and employers, such as entrepreneurial skills and concepts, Microsoft Office Specialist, improved communication skills, the ability to work in teams, workplace competencies, and a greater awareness of conducting business in a global context.

- West Side’s Partnerships with Virtual Enterprise, national business organizations like FBLA and DECA, as well as Kean University, will expose students to college professors and administrators, local business leaders, and business students around the world.
