Social Emotional Learning at RCES
What is SEL in Education? Social emotional learning (SEL) is a methodology that helps students of all ages to better comprehend their emotions, to feel those emotions fully, and demonstrate empathy for others.
At Roberto Clemente Elementary, we offer the following SEL Programs:
PreK to 2nd Grade
Second Step programs are research-based, teacher-informed, and classroom-tested to promote the social-emotional development, safety, and well-being of children from Early Learning through Grade 8.
3rd to 7th Grade
Rethink SEL provides a comprehensive social emotional learning solution that includes professional learning modules for adults, K-12 multi-tiered grade level curriculum, SEL assessments, behavior tracking and home support tools all in one web-based platform.
