Criteria
By the time graduates have completed their program at Newark Evening, they will have had an opportunity to:
- Advocate on an issue of personal importance by creating a P.S.A., writing an Editorial Essay, or initiating a Campaign
 - Compare and contrast the cost-benefit of Home-Ownership vs Renting
 - Collaborate in a community-oriented project based experience
 - Conduct a scientific experiment, collecting and recording empirical data, to produce a written summary of the results with sound scientific conclusions
 - Examine and acknowledge their own learning style and set personal learning goals
 - Produce or perform a work of art
 - Assess media coverage of an issue or event from various perspectives
 - Solve a challenging problem in a team
 - Analyze a meaningful passage of another's writings, and recite it with passion from memory
 - Contribute to the Voices of Newark Evening Anthology
 - Create a Resume, Cover Letter, and LinkedIn Profile
 - Prepare a business plan.
 - Participate on the NEHS Student Council
 - Complete a class online or through a blended learning format
 - Prepare a budget, reconcile bank statements, and explore the benefits of responsible credit card use
