Teachers
Each teacher at Mount Vernon School is in partnership with parents to provide a well-rounded education for all students.  The majority of the teachers hold advance degrees in a variety of educational areas and continue to upgrade their skills through ongoing professional development. 97% of the staff members are certified highly qualified educators based on the criteria set forth in the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 and several have been name District and/or State Teacher of the Year.

Instructional Aides
At Mount Vernon classroom and personal aides work directly with the students in the classroom while school aides perform duties that are relevant to the everyday functions of the school. All aides are a valuable supplement to the educational process.
