MISSION

Our MISSION at Mount Vernon School is to create a child-centered learning environment; where every student reaches his/her academic potential and develops moral and ethical values in order to become a responsible citizen in a democratic society. Our instructional program is comprehensive and aligned with District goals and the Common Core State Standards.

VISION

Our VISION at Mount Vernon School is to empower all students to become life-long learners by forming active partnerships with parents, staff, and community. Our school family embraces each other’s differences and celebrates diversity.

BELIEFS

Our VISION and MISSION represent our beliefs. We believe students can empower and take ownership of their education. In addition, we believe our parents are our partners working collaboratively to ensure that higher thinking and learning occurs. We know our children will become productive citizens in society!
