School Goals

  1. IMPROVE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT
    • Each marking period, with the help of parents and staff, students will work hard to achieve Principal’s List (all A’s), and accomplish the academic and social goals set forth by staff.
    • Staff and students strive to attend school and be on time each day, prepared for teaching and learning with an attitude for success.
  2. MAINTAIN POSITIVE SCHOOL AND CLASSROOM CULTURE
    • Hawthorne is school where staff and students embrace high academic achievement. Instructional staff members are committed to creating and preparing interesting, rigorous and inventive lessons that meet the needs of all students in a safe and structured environment.
    • Students will show evidence of this by their commitment to daily lesson engagement and completion of all assignments.
    • Staff and students work to maintain positive relationships that build trust, team-spirit, and school pride.
  3. INCREASE PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
    • The relationship between staff and parents will strengthen through respectful, positive and honest communication. We will create more opportunities for collaboration and work-shopping.
    • Staff will respect parents as the “child’s first teacher.”
