Welcome to Hawthorne Avenue's School Curriculum Page!

This school year our students will continue to participate in culturally relevant learning experiences. These experiences enhance the existing Newark Board of Education curriculum, and reflects the expected New Jersey Students Learning Standards.

All students will learn about English Language Arts (ELA), Math, African Studies, and Science. Throughout the school year, students will also participate in our special content area courses: Art, Computers, Dance, Music, Physical Education, and World Language.
