Extracurricular Activities
In addition to building skills within a specific discipline, extracurricular activities are great for developing general academic and soft skills. Debating is great for developing public speaking skills, S.T.E.M. competitions foster critical thinking strategies and sports teams teach children about teamwork. Balancing a number of commitments can help to improve your child’s time management skills, while finding an area they enjoy or excel at can boost their self-confidence.
Dr. William H. Horton Elementary School has a variety of After-School Programs, Academic Support Programs, Clubs, and Teams that students can participate in between the hours of 3:05 pm and 6:00 pm.
