Columbia University Model UN Conference
Jan 25, 2024
From January 11th to January 14th, the NSGS Model UN Team attended the Columbia University Conference and National Competition where we competed against 800 other students and 85 other schools. All of the students worked extremely hard to prepare for this competition from writing multiple position papers and speeches along with taking copious notes and completing hours of research. The Model UN students from Global Studies all performed exceptionally well against such fierce competition and we are all very proud to announce the following Award Winners:
- Miles Taylor for “Verbal Commendation” as Joseph Hume in the 1830s House of Commons
- Reanah Bultron for “Best Essay” on the following prompt:
- How does your identity or background shape you as a delegate in Model UN? How does your unique perspective influence your ability to engage and grow as a communicator?
Congratulations to all Model UN members for their fantastic work at Columbia University!
