Rosa Monteiro-Inacio
Principal
Rosa Monteiro-Inacio started her career as an elementary school teacher with the Newark Board of Education. Rosa studied at Felician College and Kean University. Rosa has a proven record of increasing test scores and has extensive knowledge of curriculum. She also has the ability to effectively communicate with families, students and other stakeholders.
Nivin Papa
Vice Principal
Nivin Papa is a native of the city of Newark and a product of Newark Public Schools. She holds over twenty years of experience as an educator in the district and a proven track record of high student achievement. Mrs. Papa brings with her a wealth of knowledge in instruction and curriculum and leads by example upholding a high level of personal integrity, excellence, and compassion. She is dedicated to supporting all constituents and establishing an environment of comradery to ensure an optimal environment for students’ social, emotional, and academic growth.
Sonia Ferreira
Vice Principal
Sonia Ferreira was born and raised in Newark, NJ. After graduating from the Rutgers University of Newark in 2008, she began her teaching career with the Newark Board of Education. Her second certification in Students with Disabilities was from Bloomfield College. Ms. Ferreira also attended Montclair State University and received her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. She brings her knowledge and passion for collaboration in supporting all stakeholders to build a community with a positive climate and culture to ensure academic growth for all of our students.
Manuel Pastor
Vice Principal
Manuel Pastor has a strong connection to the Ironbound and is an active member in the community. After graduating from Montclair State University in 2007, Mr. Pastor began teaching at Ann Street School. He spent the first 12 years of his career honing his craft in the elementary and middle school levels. His vast experience and proven track record for high student achievement led him to pursue a role as a Teacher Coach. He worked in that role for 5 years, helping teachers develop best practices and to utilize student data to drive instruction. In 2022, he entered the Newark Public School's Aspiring Leaders Pipeline and earned his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Montclair State University.
