Our task to continuously educate children remains supremely infinite. It’s that very mindset that keeps each of us uniquely motivated, connected and focused to make furthering a child’s growth and development our most our operations staff, our instructional staff and our support staff, it is with great honor that I formally welcome you to another year of teaching and learning here at Carver Bruce Elementary. PEACE!

I say Peace not only because it’s the universal greeting filled with love; and not only because is it one of our school’s core values and holds the acronym, Proper Education Always Corrects Errors, I say PEACE and I greet you all with PEACE because PEACE is simply the absence of confusion. Thus our minds will be uniquely one with the transformational goal of student improvement.

Our focus this school year will be centered on the following key levers of change:

• Data Driven Instruction: Strengthening our approach to the delivery of direct instruction and refining our pedagogy and craft to more effectively teach students based on analysis of student outcome data with support from ongoing job-embedded professional development to improve teaching and learning.
• Culture of Achievement: Ensure complete articulation of the school’s mission, vision and core values to staff, students, families and community which will strengthen the culture and climate of Carver Bruce so that it is transformational with the goal of implementing and sustaining a stationary pedagogy of confidence within our Professional Learning Community to improve student outcomes.
• System Thinking Operations: Develop a strong set of standard operational procedures, policies, protocols, routines & rituals that are uniformed and transparent to the entire school community with the primary goal of ensuring that our school provides a safe environment and operates with sound structures and offer as much time on task instruction for our students as possible.

The time for us to execute swift impactful collective change is now upon us all. Our quest will remain infinite, our drive and commitment will remain consistent and our unique passion to educate the children of Carver Bruce Elementary will always remain paramount. PEACE!
