Dear Belmont Runyon School Parent,

It is with great pleasure that I extend a warm welcome to you and your family at the start of a new year filled with hope and high expectations. This will be a milestone year for our school as we transition our students back to in-person learning after an eighteen-month remote learning period. We are prepared to transition your child(ren) safely into a positive learning environment.

The learning loss that our students have experienced will present challenges, but the Administration and Staff are prepared to provide meaningful experiences that will address their academic, social and emotional needs. We will be expanding our partnerships and providing school-based interventions to ensure all student needs are addressed so that they can begin to meet and exceed grade level expectations.

It is important that the Staff of Belmont Runyon School foster positive relationships with parents so that we can create multiple levels of support that will ensure your child’s success. This year there will be multiple parent workshops that will assist parents with supporting learning at home as well as activities and resources offered that will strengthen the family unit. This collaboration will rebuild our school community as well empower you to advocate for your child.

The First Day of School for all students is Tuesday, September 7, 2021. School will begin promptly at 8:25am. You will receive additional information regarding our Ingress Procedures within the next two weeks. In June you received the following:

• Summer Reading Book and Assignment
  • We have additional copies of each book if any student is in need of a copy of the book for their assigned grade level. Please arrange to come to the school to pick up your copy prior to the first day of school. All Students should bring their Summer Reading Book to school on the first day of school.
• Welcome Letter from your child’s teacher
• Supply List for At-Home Learning and In-School Learning
• School Uniform Requirements

As a reminder your child must return to school with their district issued Chromebooks. You will receive additional guidance on how we will handle these devices going forward prior to our opening day of school. If your child will be a new student to Belmont Runyon School, they will be issued a Chromebook within the first week of school.
