Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope this message finds you and your family in good health and spirit.  Although, the COVID-19 virus has changed our normal way of performing our personal and professional responsibilities there is a light at the end of the tunnel and this too shall pass.  Please be reassured the instructional program and faculty members at American History High School are committed to ensuring your child’s academic success.

Furthermore, Newark Board of Education is committed to ALL of the families we serve and embrace your partnership.   Because of the challenges to provide nutrition and technology needs, NBOE provides meals for families and internet access, as well as chrome books.  Please check the Breakfast & Lunch information that you can find in this PARENT tab.  Also, if your child experiences technology issues, please do not hesitate to contact our Tech Coordinator, Mr. Riley (griley@newark.apppresser.com)

The most effective practice to ensure our scholars success is the Parent and Educator Partnership because we share the same goals that ALL OF OUR STUDENTS are successful and are prepared for life as an adult.  Whether that is attending college, trade school or the work force, students must attend class every day.  Unfortunately, our daily attendance records are not at 100%.  I ask that you ENCOURAGE your child to attend every class, turn on their cameras and complete assignments to their best ability.
