Course Sequence
9th and 10th Grades
Students in their first and second years at Central High School focus on their high school academic studies before earning acceptance to the JAG program.
11th Grade - Year 1
JAG
In their first year taking JAG, students participate in the first two tiers of JAG's Employer Engagement learning model.
Tier 1 - Exploration:
- JAG participant is exploring jobs and industries.
Tier 2 - Exposure:
- JAG participant is learning deeper, more specific information about a job or industry they have interest in.
12th Grade: Year 2
JAG
In their second year taking JAG, students continue their participation in the second tier and then participate in the third tier of JAG's Employer Engagement learning model.
Tier 2 - Exposure:
- JAG participant is learning deeper, more specific information about a job or industry they have interest in.
- Business tours, job shadowing, training, etc.
Tier 3 - Experience:
- JAG participant is gaining personalized, hands-on experiences within a job or industry.
Post-Graduation: Year 3
JAG Follow-up:
JAG participant secures one or more of the following within their desired career pathway that actualizes their Individual Development Plan and sets them up for long-term success. Our JAG specialist contacts our recent graduates monthly to provide support and mentorship with achieving:
- Certification
- Credential
- Continuing Education
- Employment in Career Pathway
