English Language Arts
Overview
The English Department services students during their entire 4 (9-12) years at Arts High School, providing them with a rigorous program in literary response and analysis, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, written conventions, and writing strategies. Utilizing a host of high-interest, rigorous texts, the English Department strives to ensure access to high-quality curriculum and instruction for all students, in order to meet or exceed the demands of both the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and the Common Core State Standards.
