Robotics
In Robotics, students learn about how to build different kinds of robots using unique building sets from LEGO. Once the robots are built, students learn how to code and program their robots to move and do exciting tricks!
Claymation
In Claymation, students learn how to create moving images using clay characters and structures. Using stop motion production, students construct their own characters, plots and movies using HueAnimation, a state of the art stop motion film production software.
City Planning & Engineering
In City Planning and Engineering, students learn about the field of City Planning, participate in community walks to assess their neighborhoods, and write proposals for what they would like to see included in their communities. They use rendering creation softwares to create models of their ideas.
Go Green: Planning for Sustainability
In Go Green, students learn about sustainable practices, and how to use both everyday materials and formal sustainable systems in schools. Students partner with local non-profits to create sustainability plans and advocacy campaigns within the District to promote recycling.
Sound & Video Production
In Sound and Video Production, students learn how to use video cameras and video production software to create trailers and documentaries. Students also create a formal stage crew for the Abington Avenue School drama program, working the sound, lights and brand new spotlight.
